Lok Sabha Elections 2024: On Tuesday, the Aam Aadmi Party named 5 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi and Haryana. Senior leader Somnath Bharti was given the New Delhi seat. The 5 names were released by the party after a meeting of its Political Affairs Committee, which was led by the party’s national leader and chief minister of Delhi.

Elections 2024 Arvind Kejriwal Statement

It put forward Somnath Bharti, who is also the vice-chairman of the Delhi Jal Board, from the New Delhi district, Kuldeep Kumar, who is an MLA from Kondli, from East Delhi, Sahiram Pehelwan, who is from South Delhi, and Mahabal Mishra, who used to be an MP, from the West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency.

The party chose Sushil Gupta, a former member of the Rajya Sabha, as its candidate in the Haryana seat of Kurukshetra.

In Delhi, the party has teamed up with Congress, which is part of the INDIA group, for the Lok Sabha elections.

The AAP and Congress have arrived at a 4-3 seat-sharing arrangement for Delhi. The AAP already named its three candidates for Assam and its two candidates for Gujarat.
