On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said more critics things about the Trinamool Congress (TMC) when it comes to cheating and not caring about the people who have been hurt by Sandeshkhali and family politics. The PM said those things while speaking at a public event in Siliguri.
He also said that parties in the opposition INDIA alliance, like the TMC and Congress, put family interests ahead of the development of the country.
He said, “They (TMC) made 25 lakh fake job cards and gave them out to steal money from the MGNREGA.”
In response to recent events in Sandeshkhali, where TMC leaders were accused of sexual abuse, Modi criticized the state government for not caring about the victims.
What the TMC leaders did to the poor, Dalit, and native people in Sandeshkhali is now being talked about all over the country. “The main things that goons and extortionists from the TMC do are hurt women and steal from poor people’s earnings,” he said.
On the edges of the Sunderbans, the Sandeshkhali area has been in chaos for more than a month because TMC leader Shajahan Sheikh and his followers have been accused of sexual abuse and taking land without permission.
“The Lok Sabha elections will make it possible to get rid of the corrupt TMC government in West Bengal,” the PM said.
